CUSCO, Peru – Ashid Bahl School Update

In early August, Ashid Bahl, accompanied by Martha and Oje Hart, visited the Ashid Bahl School in Cusco, Peru, and were thoroughly impressed by the dedication of the teachers and the well-behaved, loving children. The school is thriving, with 220 children now enrolled, thanks to the expansion of two large classrooms. The local government, recognizing the improvements made, has agreed to assist with further repairs that are still needed.

A generous $5,000.00 grant from Martha Hart through the Owen Hart Foundation has significantly contributed to the school’s progress. This donation provided two computers, a laptop, a printer, and a projector, along with a special lunch and cultural experience for the children at La Cusquenita Tradicional. Additionally, educational supplies, jackets, and crafts were donated, and the children participated in a variety of fun activities.

The footage captured by Ashid Bahl during this visit will also be featured in Martha Hart’s upcoming short documentary film, showcasing the positive impact of these efforts on the children and the school community.
